Dutch Car CollageThis book was constructed to compile journal entries and other writings/ sketches made from my time in the Netherlands. I collaged different pieces all from my time in the Netherlands and formed each chapter to be a part of a car. Although I did not think of it at the time, I find it interesting it is in the theme of a car as that was probably the largest culture shock I experienced in my time there. As well as many other things. I included some small writings in this website page. I find some of these to be incredibly impactful looking back 3 years later. Many of these little pieces of writings are things I speak about to my colleagues and to friends and family. Reflecting, I can say that this experience makes up alot of who I am today. Not only as a designer, but as a human. One of the pieces of writings says “design more than just a product, it is a way of thinking.”. This is something that has stuck with me since that experience.
