00.Evan Parker is a designer from Madison, Wisconsin. Graduating with a B.S.D in Graphic Design. Throughout his studies, he developed a deep belief in the power of design as a tool for meaningful change. As he progressed through his academic program, studied critical design in Amsterdam, and landed professional internships, he began to recognize a disconnect between corporate design culture and the idea that designers can help shape a better world. This realization has driven him to critically examine his role within the industry and to seek opportunities where design can genuinely improve lives. His work is directed by a commitment to bridging that gap, through exploration, intention, and growth.

I was set to create a brand identity based on a randomly selected number and letter combination.
I had been given "Z, 3".
I created a brand called Zeland Airlines - A commercial airline focused on inducing a unique experience a visual style that seperates itself from the competitors

This project explores communication as the transmission of ideas through noise, distortion, and layered meaning. I began by experimenting physically with light, shadow, and cut typography, scanning layered paper forms to capture texture, depth, and interference. These analog explorations were then developed digitally, where additional layers and movement increased contrast and clarity. The final work balances disruption and focus, reflecting how design can strengthen communication by navigating noise rather than removing it.

Brief
This exercise was aimed to design a brand and 3d space for an exhibition of our choosing. We chose to concept around brutalism in West and East Berlin post WWII and how brutalism was developed in different ways in East vs West. This concept we developed drove the design of the branding as well as the 3d space of the exhibit.
We designed a booklet, ticket, billboard, posters, website, banner, typeface, exhibition signs, animation.
Throughout this exercise I learned to design a book with multiple languages, how to use sketchup and rendering softwares, and how to expirement within a branding system.

This content of this book contains all of my projects from second and third year from the graphic design program. This project aims to showcase my typographic and layout skills while going through the process of a large scale print project.
I explored front matter systems to communicate seamlessly through front cover, inside front cover, table of contents, class heading, project heading, project spreads, final project spreads, and the colophon.
This project taught me the process that is needed for a large scale print project and the attention to detail that is required for a project like this. Images

This project aims to redesign the us dollar while telling a story from front to back. The story must relate to the US and each denomination must contain all important information found on the current currency.
I designed a story about native american tribes and important figures from the tribes history. On the front of my redesign I focused on patterns and flowers from that specific tribe and implemented it within my design. On the back of my redesign I focused on showcasing the beauty of the land.
My redesign was inspired by the swiss and mexican currency.

Calendar Project Mentor:

Brief
The goal of this project is to layout a calendar with the intent to further grow typographically and communication through systems. This project was largely focused on communication through type treatment.
My calendar was designed to communicate the number, size, strength, duration and destruction of tornados in Wisconsin on specific days. Each sphere surrounding a day on the calendar is showing the number of tornados. The size of a sphere is based on the size of the tornado. The weight of the line is based on the strength of the tornado. The length of the line is based on the duration of the tornado.
I designed with constraints to learn and understand designing with restraint.

Brief
The goal of this project is to examine hostile architecture through the format of a Social Issue Clock, using time as a system to communicate patterns of discomfort and exclusion in public space. This project pushes me to work on a different medium and different meterials.
The clock is designed to reflect how hostile architecture forces an uncomfortable feeling Collaged elements and textures represent barriers, division, and unease. The composition emphasizes accumulation, showing how subtle interventions in public space collectively construct an urban malady.
I designed within a collage constraint to represent the added on nature that hostile architecture takes form in. I wanted to explore how discomfort can be translated into a clock.
